2d Battalion Mission

2d IO Battalion deploys multi-functional Information Warfare (IW) teams worldwide to assess, aggress, train and provide operational support to the Department of Defense and the US Military in order to improve readiness and provide freedom of action in the information environment and deny the same to our adversaries.

2d Battalion Priorities that Equal to Our Readiness

  1. People (SFRG/Professional Development/Talent Management)
  2. IW Capabilities (CTC/Joint Army Exercises/Home Station Evaluations)
  3. Training (8570/Script Writing/Add more)
  4. Routine Actions (Remote Ops/Cyber Exploitation/EW/Close Access)

In today’s Army we can deploy to any location at any given time. In order to provide command and control our units have to bring multiple layers of communication packages with them. 2d Battalion provides cyber security training for these units before they deploy to ensure that our adversaries cannot hack into their systems. If you are one of the following MOS’s (26A, 17A, 35A, 35L, 35N, 35T, 35Z, 25B) and are looking to either enhance your cyber security skills or learn new ones then this is the unit you want to be in.
